STATEMENT

My body of work originates in visual thinking. The unseen in the mind’s eye allows for a nonverbal organization of thoughts. To realize this I choreograph a range of topographical forms within stylized infographic environments to explore the visual communication of information. 

I derive my imagery from topology which is a branch of mathematics where fundamental forms are bent, folded, and stretched in order to study their qualitative features. These features reflect aspects of physical space, dimension, and transformation. The infographics, such as elements from graphs, charts, and plots, reflect aspects of data, examination, and discovery.
